"Is it my turn?"
Horrible Mother
Ok I am a horrible mother and an even worse blogger. This Spring sprang by wayyyy too fast and now Summer is half way over. AAGGGHHHHH. So here's what's up. Dray played T-Ball this year for the first time. He did ok. Kind of a short attention span. If you see a child out in the field dancing in circles, that's him. laughing. It was an experience. I will post the picture of him getting his trophy.
Drayton has also learned to swim. Kinda. He looks more like he's running under water. But he's working on it. Still no fear which is a little bad, but we're having fun. We've been to the lake and to the aquatic park alot this summer.
I can't get over how much he is growing and maturing. We were in line the other day and I mumbled something about it taking forever. He looked at me and said, "Mom, you have to be patient". So obviously we are learning a lot together.
Drayton has also joined the Summer reading program at the library. He can't read yet, but he checks out books and I read them to him. He gets a sticker for each time he listenes to 6 books and then a prize after listening to 30. We're half way there. He checks out at least 3 books a week and then we read them over and over and over again. It's alot of fun.
He is also trying to learn math. Addition and Subtraction. He gets very aggrivated at himself when he doesn't know the answer. Very impatient. Wonder where he gets that from.
Kindergarten starts on Aug. 20th. I can't believe he'll be in "big" school this year. Time sure flies.
